Syracuse Military Pass Offers Free Football Tickets to Veterans and Active Service Members

The Orange will celebrate veterans and active-duty military throughout the 2019 football season with the Syracuse Athletics Military Appreciation Program, presented by SEFCU. As part of the program, two (2) complimentary tickets to one home football game each month are available for veterans and active service members through the Syracuse Athletics Military Pass.

The Military Pass is part of Chancellor Kent Syverud’s plan to make Syracuse University “the best place for veterans” – a commitment he verbalized during his 2014 inauguration remarks.

“We embrace the opportunity to welcome all veteran and active-duty military to our athletic events through the Military Appreciation Program,” said Syracuse Director of Athletics John Wildhack. “The athletics department respects and appreciates those who defend our freedom and will continue to actively participate in Syracuse University’s mission as a leader in supporting veterans and military families.”

The football program’s ninth annual Military Appreciation Day celebration is Saturday, Sept. 21 versus Western Michigan.

All Orange fans, donors, season-ticket holders and businesses are invited to partner with Syracuse Athletics to thank veterans and active-duty military for their service by sponsoring a military member’s ticket to the Western Michigan game through the ‘Cuse for the Troops program. The first 500 tickets for ‘Cuse for the Troops are sponsored by SEFCU. More details on how to donate tickets is available at Cuse.com/military.

In addition, the Military Pass offers veterans and active-duty military two (2) complimentary tickets to the Pittsburgh game on Oct. 18 and the Boston College game on Nov. 2.

On Sept. 21, veterans and current service members can take advantage of four (4) free tickets to attend Military Appreciation Day, presented by SEFCU, versus Western Michigan. Activities saluting our servicemen and women are scheduled to take place prior to and throughout the game.

Military Pass complimentary tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be requested at least five (5) days prior to the game. Veterans and active-duty military should register at Cuse.com/military to reserve tickets and learn more about how they will be delivered.

Those unable to sign up for the Military Pass due to limited games, or those who missed the deadline, will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets when gates open on game day. Best available, reserved upper-level corner/end-zone seats are $10 each (limit of four) for any of Syracuse’s six home games. A military ID must be presented to receive the discount.

Syracuse returns 17 starters from last year’s 10-3 squad that finished No. 15 in the country. The 2019 season opener is set for Friday, Aug. 31 at Liberty. Syracuse’s first home game is Saturday, Sept. 14 versus Clemson.

Season and single-game tickets are on sale now online (Cuse.com/tickets), by phone (888-DOME-TIX) or in person at the Dome Box Office located in the Ensley Athletic Center. Season tickets start at $125.

Syracuse’s single-game ticket allotment for the Clemson game is sold out. The only way to guarantee a seat to watch the Orange and Tigers is through the purchase of a season ticket.
