United States Navy Veteran and Syracuse University employee Jackie Snow hails from Syracuse, New York. Jackie entered the Navy in 1983 out of high school, and she served on active duty for four years. Jackie was stationed for two years at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico and two years at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Virginia Beach.
After entering the Navy as a Seaman Apprentice, Jackie trained under two skilled female engineers and rose to the rank of Engineman 2nd Class. She was awarded Sailor of the Quarter and was qualified as Tug Boat Chief Engineer.
Jackie is in her 12th year working at Syracuse University’s Parking Services. Jackie is proud of her current role as the Veteran Engagement Director with Team Red White and Blue’s Syracuse, NY Chapter, and she is also a member of Syracuse University’s Veterans Affinity Group.
