Syracuse University Army Cadet Siobhan Grabski ’23 and Air Force Cadet Mazin Moya ’24 share their military child stories with OVMA’s Vanessa Marquette G’19 – who is also a military child. All three come from extensive military families. There are different challenges both active-duty and Reserve/National Guard military children may face – for some kids, it’s frequent moves and changing schools, for others it may be living with families and friends when their parent(s) are gone for trainings or deployment – to name a few. Whatever the hardships may be, military children have proven to be more resilient than ever and are incredibly proud to have military service in their lives.
