United States Army Captain Tim Monczynski was born in Watertown, New York, raised in Rochester, and graduated from Penfield High School in 2008. Tim attended Medaille College in Buffalo and was commissioned as a Transportation Corps Officer in 2012.

Captain Monczynski’s first duty assignment was with the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Tim served as a Movements Officer, Platoon Leader, and Assistant Operations Officer which included a nine deployment to Afghanistan. He also successfully commanded a Movement Control Team.

 Following his graduation from the Logistics Captain’s Career Course in 2018, Tim was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York, where he serves as the Logistics Planner for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Tim deployed to Afghanistan a second time for nine months and served as the Logistics Advisor for the Afghan Army’s 205th Corps. His proudest military moment was being able to train, advise, and assist the Afghan Army during his deployment.                             

Today, Tim, his wife Rachel, and Daughters Teagan and Natalie live in Watertown, New York, where they enjoy hiking in the Adirondacks and watching Syracuse University and Buffalo Bills football.
